Fly-tipping in Loanhead Railway Path
by Nick BThe old bin on the path above Lasswade Rd/ Gilmerton Station Rd roundabout was broken ages ago. The council simply removed it, but people still drop their dog-dirt there! This is a health hazard and needs a new bin, and emptied regularly.

Sadly there is no chance of another bin being sited in this location. I repeatedly requested that this bin be emptied back in Spring 2020, which it was initially until the summer when I involved a local councillor who used her power to force action. Unfortunately the bin was then removed as there was a ‘dispute’ between Midlothian and The City of Edinburgh Council over ownership and responsibility for the bin.
